The wait is over!! ICS for HTC Explorer A.K.A Pico!!! :D

We've got CM7 a while ago.... But as you might have known it's not totally functional...

What was not working you ask? The camera! [ Not that the 3MP Camera makes a difference :P ] and it also had issues while streaming videos, when streaming the phone would just reboot for no reason this happens every single time without any reason...

You could use VLC and fix this issue... Although I don't know of any method to get the YouTube application to work [ It doesn't work either ].

Well, The solution? We got CM9!! and Evervolv as well.... Both the ROMs have one major bug left to be fixed, The Video recorder! Apart from the everything works! That includes the camera too! You can download the ROMs from here : CM9 [ Build#5 ], Evervolv[ Build#2 ] .

<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">WiFi, GPS, FM, USB seem to work fine...

Bluetooth and camera don't seem to work and the Phone seems to reboot every time a video is played using the default android video player/streamer. However you can install a 3rd party application to counter this problem. I personally use VLC. Its plays most of the videos and streams most of them too! but it can take a minute to start streaming :(
I haven't tried the other players. You cannot download the YouTube application from the Play Store as well and if even if you manage to install it using the apk from the stock rom or from the internet, the phone keeps restarting whenever a video is played :(
Build#2 had a issue with audio while on a call... People on the other end would get a chorus, split voice... but that issue has been fixed in Build#3. Hopefully Build#4 fixes the camera and the Bluetooth issue, I can live the video player issue ;)
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Just go to CWM and install the zip file and should get all the Google applications other than YouTube. But that doesn't matter as YouTube doesn't work...
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">
Moreover, It is still not stable enough for daily use but if these small bugs don't bother you then go on and use it... Personally, I've been using it for a day now and it seems to work perfectly fine... :)

Free software activists have released a P2P search engine to take on Google, Yahoo, Bing and others.

The P2P search engine, YaCy uses a different concept. Instead of using a central server , its search results come from a network of independent peers [ Users who downloaded the YaCy software ] .

This project is supported by FSFE [ Free Software Foundation Europe ], which is concerned that dominant search engines have too much power and control over the information that users find online.

Everyone can access and try out YaCy at YaCy.net. Users can become part of the Yacy network by installing the software on their computer. It is currently available for GNU/Linux, Windows, MacOS.
